THE STUDIO

We believe great design stems from creating things that intentionally shape how people experience the world around them. A space, a brand, a small object. Each contributes to the character of a place and how it is remembered.

At Uyi Design Studio, we pay close attention to context and to the people who will live with the results of our designs. Our work moves between architecture, identity and objects, not to follow a style but to ask what belongs.

SERVICES

Brand and Visual Identity

We build identities around a clear understanding of what a brand is, what it wants to become and how it should be experienced.

Our work can begin at the earliest stages of an idea or with an existing brand in need of greater clarity. Through conversation, research and visual exploration, we establish a distinct point of view and translate it into an identity that can work consistently across different contexts.

The result is more than a collection of visual elements. It is a coherent system with enough structure to be recognisable with enough flexibility to grow.

Architecture and Spatial Design

We design spaces around the people who will use them and the context in which they exist.

From early concepts through design development, we consider how proportion, material, light, movement and function come together to shape an experience. Decisions are made in relation to the whole, so that each element feels purposeful and connected to the original idea.

Our aim is to create spaces that work well, feel natural to inhabit and have a character of their own.

Spatial Narrative (Consultancy)

Before deciding what a space should look like, we help define what it should mean.

We work with brands, developers and other creative partners to develop this direction before or alongside the design process. It becomes a reference point for decisions across architecture, interiors, graphics, objects and other elements of the space, allowing different contributors to work towards the same experience.

Product and Furniture Design

From standalone pieces to objects developed as part of a wider ensemble. Each piece begins with purpose: how it is used, how it is made and how it exists within its environment.

We develop  form and function together, resulting in objects that feel considered, refined and enduring.

Deji Adejuyigbe is an architectural designer, and the founder of Uyi Design Studio. His work moves between architecture, identity and objects, guided by an interest in how ideas take form and how design can shape the way we experience the world around us.

Over the past decade, his work spans across architecture and spatial design in the UK and Nigeria, contributing to projects across residential, hospitality and large-scale development. His independent work has since expanded into brand identity, furniture design, film and photography — disciplines he sees as interconnected through problem-solving and narrative building.

This way of thinking began during his architectural education at De Montfort University. His thesis project explored how memory reconstructs the spaces we inhabit, moving between photography, collage, light, shadow and architecture to arrive at physical form. The work was later featured in lectures at the Bartlett School of Architecture.

Today, that same curiosity sits at the heart of UYI: beginning with context and purpose, following an idea wherever it leads, and finding the form that feels right for it.
